Don't be alarmed by it's "twiggy" appearance! Kentucky coffeetrees are widely used shade trees across the country. They are unique in that they actually have no known pests and have bipinnately compound leaves. The latter fact results in a rather "twiggy" looking tree when the leaves shed in the fall, but this is healthy and normal! Exhibits moderate drought tolerance once established.
